Should the Board of Undergraduate Students replace the Undergraduate
Student Government as the popularly elected governing body of students
at OSU? Big government philosophy will be pitted against small
government mentality in this fascinating debate.

MARIJUANA EQUALIZATION DEBATE
April 2 at 7 p.m. Page Hall 010
Is the current university policy, which punishes the possession of
marijuana and related paraphernalia harsher than the underage
possession of alcohol fair, justified, or neither? Should the
possession of the two drugs carry equal punishment? This debate will cover a broad spectrum of social issues as it explores a hot button issue of concern to many students.
COCA-COLA ON CAMPUS DEBATE
April 3 at 8 p.m. McPherson Labs 1000
The Students Against Coke will debate
the spokespeople of the Coca-Cola Corporation in an event that has been
in the making for nearly a year. The two sides will square off to
determine whether Ohio State should ban the sale of Coca-Cola products
on its campus. Corporate responsibility and liability will be tested
alongside free-market economic principles!
MODERATED PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE
April 7 at 8 p.m. Mendenhall Labs 100
Ohio State's own, Dr. Herb Asher, a Professor of Political Science and
an expert in Campaign Politics, will be moderating this USG
Presidential debate, which will feature the three President/Vice President candidate teams running for office. This debate
will press the candidates to answer questions about campus issues,
their personal merits, and their platforms under the scrutiny of their
opponents and the audience alike.
OSUTUBE DEBATE
April 8 at 7 p.m. in Hagerty Hall 180
Do you have a question for the USG Presidential candidates? Do you want
to shine the spotlight on your concerns that aren't being talked about?
Will you ask the question that no one else knows how to ask? This debate
is modeled after the CNN YouTube Debates that were help last year in
the Presidential Primaries and the concept of a viewer-controlled debate is coming the USG Elections. Submit your video to the EGB and make the candidates answer you!
NORTH CAMPUS MEETS THE CANDIDATES
April 9 at 4:30 p.m.
Join the USG candidates for an afternoon of food and relaxing fun as
they talk to potential voters like you but with a little North Campus
flavor! The specific location will be posted around North Campus.

We want to say “Thank You For Voting” by showing you the brilliant 2005
political comedy, Thank You For Smoking before the polls open at
midnight. Join us for some pop, some popcorn, a town hall discussion of
the issues, and a viewing of the movie as we relax as the campaign
season winds down
